Established in 1985
by Jeff Oom, Lakeside Car Co. began as a used car dealership and soon after added auto repair shop services, committed to delivering exceptional customer service and support. Recognizing the growing needs of the community, we embarked on building expansions in 2004 and 2006 to become a full eight-bay service facility. These expansions have enabled us to enhance our capacity to service more vehicles while upholding our tradition of delivering prompt, high-quality services.
As part of our dedication to our customers, we have recently invested in a new office space and implemented advanced software management systems, along with a revamped website. Our technicians frequently attend training, and we continually update our shop equipment and diagnostic tools to serve the Rockford community proudly with our unwavering philosophy: The customer always comes first.
In 2024, Andy Wierenga bought into Lakeside Car Co. He began his journey with the company in the spring of 2010 as temporary help and transitioned to a full-time position by that fall. Andy worked as a mechanic until 2023 when he transitioned into a service manager role. As of January 1, 2024, he became a part-owner. Now residing in Rockford, Andy looks forward to taking care of the local community and continuing Lakeside Car Co's tradition of excellent service.
In 2024, Lakeside Car Co. made a shift in its business model and ceased selling cars to focus entirely on their auto repair services. This change allows us to dedicate all our resources and expertise to maintaining the highest standards in vehicle servicing and customer care.
